Pam...love your story, don't spend it all in one place, can't wait to meet when I come in June. Looks like the new "digs" will be nice. Yesterday we did "McGhee" AMRAP 30mins-5 deadlifts, 13 pushups, 9 box jumps. 14rds+5DL+8pushups 115#dl 20"box...good workout, feeling it today!
Instead of the press I did the wide grip deadlifts I missed last week. Instead of the L sits I did--I'm not sure, I was trying to do L-sits. I'm just not very good at them. AirDyne calories 203. However, I was not tired enough when I was done, so I could have done more. I over-paced. Wimp!
Press 45 50 55. STill a weakness without my legs. I figured I did the bottom half of a K sit. Bike 128. That is probably the longest I have ridden a bike in 25 years. Definitely a weakness!!
I was pleased that I was able to do a 45#press without using my legs to get the bar up in a press. Did the L's with the use of a band. Don't like rowing so much and haven't used the bike in a wod so chose that. Now I don't like the bike so much. Had another Crossfit moment. Was wearing my Barbells for Boobs T-shirt to the gym and stopped by a store on my way. I was asked if there was a new club in town for boob lovers. I had forgotten I was wearing that T-shirt! You can be sure I kept an eye on my rearview mirror to be sure I wasn't being stalked!
HAHA Oh Pam you know they were checking you out!! The only looks I get when I go to the store after the gym are the kind you don't want...I just know people are thinkin'..."girl what are you thinkin' wearin' those spandex!?!" HA Keep the stories coming Pam! Um my L sits were more like half L, knee raises, DOC you rocked that airdyne! I don't like rowing and probably will never but I still do it!:) 111 on the rower...LAME. I could have done better...thank goodness we get to rock it out tomorrow!
Doc and Pam--thanks for making me laugh today. I was "trying" to do L-sits too but had to have a couple of thin green bands to help. Messed up shoulder still so I did snatch grip dead lifts instead of press--105, 115, 125. Did 120 calories on the Row.
